A drunk Udon Thani man was arrested for allegedly slashing a speech-impaired woman in the face during an argument.
Pisit Supanaset, 38, was apprehended May 10, along with a bloody, 30-centimeter knife near a 7-Eleven in Najomtien.
The unidentified victim, in her 40s, was taken to Banglamung Hospital with a 12 cm. slash wound to her forehead.
Police said Pisit was a scavenger who lived in an abandoned building near the victim, who was a prostitute. Both were drinking and, after the woman got drunk, she accused Pisit of stealing her potential customers and sending them to his sister, who also is a prostitute.
A fight ensued and Pisit then slashed the woman, police said.
