PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya Tourist Police helped resolve a dispute between a Saudi Arabian tourist and a hotel over a late check-in fee, with both sides reaching an agreement following mediation by officers. The incident was reported to Pattaya Tourist Police on July 8 after the Saudi visitor sought assistance over what officers described as a misunderstanding regarding a fee charged by the hotel for late check-in.

Tourist Police officers went to investigate and heard information from both the tourist and hotel representatives to establish the circumstances surrounding the dispute. The officers also acted as language intermediaries, helping both parties clearly understand each other’s concerns and the details of the disagreement. Through clear communication and fair mediation, the tourist and hotel were able to reach an agreement and settle the matter amicably.


The Saudi visitor expressed satisfaction with the assistance provided by the Tourist Police and thanked the officers for helping resolve the misunderstanding.
