PATTAYA, Thailand – Early vote counting in the Pattaya mayoral and city council elections on June 28 showed Poramet Ngampichet taking a clear lead across most polling units, according to unofficial results. After polls closed at 18:00, presiding officers across all four electoral districts began counting ballots inside each polling station before forwarding results to the Pattaya Election Operations Centre. Vote tallies were also made available in real time through the Vote Pattaya platform and the city’s official website.
The atmosphere at several polling stations, including units 4–10 in Constituency 3, remained lively as residents, observers, and supporters gathered to monitor the counting process. Based on preliminary results from multiple polling stations, Poramet, running under the “We Love Pattaya” group, held a strong overall lead across the city, while competition remained closer in some areas. Overall unofficial results confirmed Poramet’s advantage in the early count, with election officials stressing that all figures remain provisional until fully certified.
Speaking after the early count, Poramet said the results were encouraging but stopped short of declaring victory. “This is a positive signal from the hard work we’ve done, and it shows public support is strong. But the count is not finished, so we cannot announce any win yet,” he said. He also thanked voters for their support regardless of the outcome. “Every vote is valuable. Whether we win or lose, I am grateful for every single vote. This is my ninth election campaign, and I understand both success and disappointment, but all support is meaningful,” he said. Poramet added that if elected, he would continue advancing his “3 Goals, 33 Policies” framework for Pattaya’s development.
Unofficial Results:
No. 2 Poramet Ngampichet: 18,690 votes

No. 3 Sakchai Taengho: 1,006 votes
No. 4 Suaini Charoensuk: 260 votes
