City workers repainted speed bumps in South Pattaya to enhance pedestrian safety following several accidents.

Mayoral advisor Paiwan Aromcheun observed as crews highlighted the raised pavement on Soi 17 behind Chaimongkol Temple Feb. 9.



Residents had complained that cars and motorbikes didn’t slow down as they didn’t see the speed bumps. Recently a foreigner was hit by a speeding vehicle there, adding to the city’s recent tally of vehicle vs. pedestrian accidents.
