PATTAYA, Thailand – Municipal enforcement officers in Pattaya have carried out a clean-up operation in Soi 6 and Soi 6/1, removing carts, containers, and various items that were reportedly left or placed on public walkways, causing obstruction to pedestrian movement, June 15.

The operation was led by Pattaya City enforcement officers who inspected the area after concerns were raised over blocked access and reduced walkability in one of the city’s busy zones frequented by both residents and tourists. Officials found multiple objects placed along public pathways, including food carts, storage containers, and miscellaneous items that had been left unattended. Authorities stated that these obstructions affected the orderliness of the area and posed inconvenience to pedestrians using the shared public space.

All items identified as blocking access were removed and transported to the Pattaya municipal enforcement center at City Hall for safekeeping and further processing in accordance with regulations. City officials emphasized that the action is part of ongoing efforts to maintain cleanliness, safety, and public order in high-traffic areas, particularly in locations where pedestrian movement is essential for both daily life and tourism activity. Authorities also reiterated that public spaces must remain accessible and free from unauthorized storage or long-term placement of objects that could obstruct movement or create safety concerns. The enforcement operation is expected to continue as part of routine inspections across key areas in Pattaya to ensure compliance with city regulations.
