PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya is set to experience generally hot conditions with hazy skies during the daytime, according to Thailand’s Meteorological Department forecast for the next 24 hours.
The eastern region, which includes Pattaya, will see mostly hot weather with daytime haze and a chance of scattered thunderstorms covering around 20% of the area. Some storms may be accompanied by strong gusty winds in isolated locations, particularly across parts of Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat.
Temperatures in the eastern region are expected to range between 25–28°C at the lowest and 33–39°C at the highest, with south-easterly winds blowing at 15–30 km/h. Sea conditions remain relatively calm, with waves around 1 metre, though higher waves may occur during thunderstorms.
The Meteorological Department warns that the current weather pattern is influenced by a heat-induced low-pressure system covering upper Thailand, combined with strengthening south and south-easterly winds. This is contributing to unstable conditions and occasional storm development.
Residents and tourists in Pattaya are advised to take precautions against the intense heat, including avoiding prolonged outdoor activities during peak hours, staying hydrated, and seeking shade where possible. Sudden afternoon or evening storms may also create brief but intense disruptions.
Meanwhile, air quality across parts of eastern Thailand remains in the moderate range, with some accumulation of dust and haze due to weak to moderate air circulation.
Despite the heat, Pattaya continues to see steady daily activity, with beachgoers and local businesses adapting to the hot and humid conditions typical of the season.
