Prachumkongka Temple and the Pong Subdistrict office have been added to the Pattaya area’s list of vaccination sites starting next month.

Mayor Sonthaya Kunplome said on a May 12 Zoom teleconference with advisors from the Prime Minister’s Office that the two sites are in addition to vaccination centers envisioned for the Eastern National Indoor Sports Stadium, Bangkok Hospital Pattaya and Pattaya Hospital.

A total of 30,000 doses of CoronaVac from China’s Sinovac Biotech will be available for 30,000 people. Second doses will be administered after three weeks.

Those eligible for the jabs are medical personnel, village health volunteers, and registered Banglamung District residents working in the hospitality and tourism industries.

Mayor Sonthaya Kunplome said that after the three-day vaccination push for medical workers and those working in high-risk occupations, all five locations will be used for mass public vaccinations.

Sonthaya said that after the three-day vaccination push for medical workers and those working in high-risk occupations, all five locations will be used for mass public vaccinations. The goal is to vaccinate 100,000 people a day in Chonburi.

Unlike the initial jabs, however, registration won’t be required to receive a shot. All the sites will be open for walk-ins as well as those who pre-register via the government’s Mor Phom app, the Pattaya Call Center and a Line group the city is setting up, Sonthaya said.
