PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City officials are continuing efforts to keep public parking spaces open to everyone, warning residents and businesses not to use cones or other objects to reserve spaces for private use. Municipal officers are inspecting streets and public parking areas, removing attempts to claim shared spaces with cones, chairs and other markers. Officials stressed that public parking cannot be reserved for customers, businesses or individuals. Spaces intended for everyone must remain accessible without being privately claimed.

The operation forms part of Pattaya’s continuing efforts to improve order, fairness and safety in public areas. Officials acknowledged that not every issue can be resolved immediately but said field inspections will continue. Residents who encounter public spaces being privately occupied can contact the Pattaya City Call Center at 1337 for assistance.
