PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya Special Prison has placed three suspects linked to the high-profile five-victim murder case, two Russian nationals and a Thai family of three, under round-the-clock monitoring following their arrival at the facility, with officials citing the need to maintain safety and prevent potential incidents. Prison Commander Phasaphong Jaikhlongklaew said the facility has received three suspects identified as “Pong,” “Thong,” and “Ball.” The suspects are undergoing a five-day quarantine period and are being closely observed to prevent possible self-harm or conflicts with other inmates. Another suspect, identified as “Fluk,” remains under police questioning before being transferred to the prison.
Phasaphong said the three suspects are currently in normal physical condition and have not shown signs of unusual stress or fear. However, officials continue to monitor their behavior closely due to the intense public attention surrounding the case. He added that “Pong” has previously been imprisoned three times and was involved in an assault against another inmate in 2021 before being transferred to Rayong Central Prison. His most recent conviction before release involved an attempted murder case. The prison commander confirmed that strict security measures are in place and that initial health screenings have found no signs of mental health issues among the suspects.
