PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet led city executives and local representatives on November 2 to inspect the floating pier at Naklua and review plans for a new floating pier at Lan Pho Naklua Public Park. The project forms part of Pattaya’s efforts to develop community-based tourism and support Naklua’s traditional fishing industry. It aims to improve facilities for local fishermen while creating a welcoming public space where residents and visitors can relax and experience the coastal community’s way of life.

The new pier is intended to serve more than just fishing boats. Pattaya wants the development to connect traditional fishing activities with tourism and local economic opportunities, creating another destination for visitors to explore Naklua. The inspection also reflects the city’s continued efforts to improve public infrastructure and ensure that the project benefits local livelihoods, supports community businesses and contributes to a sustainable improvement in residents’ quality of life.
