PATTAYA, Thailand – Municipal enforcement officers in Pattaya have stepped up inspections against businesses placing items on public walkways, warning that such actions illegally encroach on shared public space.

On March 5, officers from Pattaya Municipal Enforcement Division conducted checks along Pattaya Second Road in Soi 9 after finding several businesses placing goods and equipment on sidewalks and roadside areas used by the public.

Officials ordered operators to immediately remove the items and return them inside their own premises, stressing that the area is a public passage meant for everyone and cannot be treated as private property.

Authorities said a formal record of the warning was made, and if violations are repeated, stricter legal action will be taken.

In cases where officers could not locate the business owners, items left obstructing the public space were confiscated and transferred to the municipal enforcement penalty center for further legal processing.

City officials emphasized that maintaining order in Pattaya requires cooperation from businesses and respect for shared public spaces.
