PATTAYA, Thailand — Pattaya Beach burst into colour, energy, and excitement on Saturday evening (Dec 20) as the Pattaya International Bikini Beach Race 2025 returned in spectacular style, drawing more than 5,000 runners from Thailand and 28 countries to one of the city’s most iconic stretches of sand.
Held in front of Central Pattaya, the ninth edition of the event transformed the beachfront into a lively mix of sport, fashion, and entertainment. Fitness lovers, beachgoers, and spectators packed the shoreline as runners in vibrant, beach-inspired outfits gathered for what is widely regarded as Thailand’s most fun and flamboyant seaside race.
This year’s event was staged under the theme “The Coral and Pearl Edition,” celebrating the beauty, colour, and hidden treasures of the ocean. The 5-kilometre route began at Pattaya Beach, ran through Pattaya Central toward North Pattaya, and looped back to the finish line by the sea, offering runners sunset views, sea breezes, and nonstop cheers along the way.
Beyond the race itself, the event delivered a full festival atmosphere. Celebrities, fitness influencers, and social media personalities joined the run, adding glamour and buzz, while spectators lined the course to snap photos and cheer participants on. As night fell, the celebration continued with live music, closing the evening with a beachfront concert that kept the crowd dancing long after the final runners crossed the line.
The Bikini Beach Race once again highlighted Pattaya’s growing reputation as a sports tourism destination, combining healthy lifestyles with entertainment and tourism, while injecting energy into the local economy and nightlife scene.
