PATTAYA, Thailand – The Meteorological Department has issued a weather update for Thailand, highlighting that while central and upper southern provinces are expected to face heavy rainfall, Pattaya and the eastern seaboard will experience mostly cloudy skies with occasional light showers.

According to the 24-hour forecast, the Bangkok metropolitan area and eastern provinces—including Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat—can expect partly to mostly cloudy conditions with isolated light rain. Temperatures in Pattaya are forecast to range between 24–33°C, with northeast winds blowing at 15–35 km/h. Sea conditions in the Gulf of Thailand near Pattaya are generally moderate, with waves around 1 meter, rising above 2 meters in areas affected by thunderstorms.

Residents and visitors in Pattaya are advised to remain cautious during outdoor activities and while traveling along flooded or waterlogged streets, especially as storm systems over the central and southern regions may influence local weather patterns.

The department also warned that the southern provinces along the east coast—particularly Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, and Nakhon Si Thammarat—are expected to see heavier downpours and thunderstorms over the coming days. Travelers and local businesses in Pattaya should monitor weather updates for any changes that may affect coastal or marine activities.

While the northern and northeastern regions of Thailand will remain cool in the mornings, Pattaya’s weather is expected to be milder, making it suitable for outdoor tourism, though umbrellas and rain gear are recommended in case of sporadic showers.

Authorities urge residents and tourists alike to follow local advisories and exercise caution near flood-prone areas, particularly along coastal roads and low-lying neighborhoods.
