PATTAYA, Thailand – The Thai Meteorological Department has warned that rainfall is expected to increase across Thailand over the next 24 hours, with heavy showers in some areas, particularly in the lower northeastern provinces and the south. Northern and northeastern regions will remain cool in the mornings.

In the eastern region, including Pattaya, thunderstorms are expected in 40% of the area. Temperatures will range from 23–32°C, with northeast winds blowing at 15–35 km/h. Offshore, waves in the Gulf of Thailand are forecast at 1–2 meters, rising above 2 meters in areas with heavy thunderstorms. Residents are advised to exercise caution during heavy rain, especially in flood-prone areas, and take precautions while traveling.

Authorities also reminded the public to monitor weather updates and be aware of potential hazards from sudden downpours, slippery roads, and coastal waves.
