PATTAYA, Chonburi – An injured male bull caused panic on a main highway in Sattahip after being struck by a vehicle, running into traffic and charging at motorists and rescuers before being brought under control by emergency teams. The incident took place around 00:10 a.m. on June 28 along Sukhumvit Road inbound toward Pattaya, near the bridge intersection in Sattahip district. Rescue workers, disaster prevention officers, and volunteers—more than 10 personnel—were deployed after reports that the animal had become aggressive following the collision.

At the scene, a Toyota Avanza driven by a retired air force officer was found with significant damage to the front-left side after hitting the bull. The driver was not injured. The bull, described as white and approximately 2–3 years old, sustained multiple injuries and was bleeding from the nose and chest. Despite its condition, it remained highly agitated, reportedly charging at people attempting to help and forcing passing vehicles to brake suddenly to avoid further accidents.

Rescue teams eventually contained the situation after the bull moved into a lower-lying area and became exhausted. Specialists used ropes to secure the animal before handing it over to Sattahip police for further action, including efforts to locate its owner and arrange compensation for damages. Authorities confirmed that at least two vehicles were damaged in the incident.

Officials have warned motorists traveling along Sukhumvit Road and surrounding outskirts linking Pattaya, Sattahip, and nearby industrial zones to remain cautious, particularly at night, due to the risk of stray livestock on highways.
