Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet has announced Dec 21, that the traditional fireworks display that ring in the new year during festivities at the Bali Hai Pier is cancelled.
However, music concerts and other festivities at the Bali Hai Pier and on Koh Larn will be held as planned on Dec 29-31.
No specific reason was given for this unexpected announcement.
