Wirat Kannet has been arrested for allegedly stealing doors, pipes and wheel rims from Marb Khakwan village residents.

Huay Yai police arrested a Khao Maikaew man who allegedly stole doors, pipes and wheel rims from local residents.

Wirat Kannet, 56, was spotted by Khao Maikaew subdistrict officials as they drove through Marb Khakwan village July 20. Wirat was moving plastic doors, PVC pipes and the rims to a roadside stand where the items could be sold to passing motorists.



Police said Wirat confessed he and another man, who fled the scene, had dug up pipes under people’s homes, and stole doors from public toilets and other items to sell as they had no money due to the coronavirus pandemic.
