PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya municipal officers have stepped up inspections of vendors in Naklua to ensure public areas remain accessible and safe for pedestrians and motorists. Municipal enforcement officers from Naklua recently conducted checks on vendors who were using public spaces to sell goods or placing merchandise and other items in areas that could obstruct traffic and interfere with public use.
Officers explained the relevant regulations to business operators and instructed them to adjust their activities and keep public areas clear. Officials said cases found to violate regulations would be processed in accordance with the law and referred for fines where appropriate.
The inspections are part of Pattaya City’s efforts to keep public areas orderly while maintaining convenience and safety for residents, pedestrians and road users. Authorities are also encouraging vendors and businesses to cooperate by complying with regulations when using public spaces and avoiding the placement of goods or equipment in areas that could create obstructions or safety concerns.
