Motorcycle rider dies after pickup hits bike, power pole in Samut Prakan

A pickup truck crashed into a motorcycle before hitting a power pole in Samut Prakan, leaving one woman dead and another injured.

SAMUT PRAKAN, Thailand – One woman died and another was injured after a pickup truck collided with a motorcycle before losing control and crashing into a power pole in Samut Prakan on August 10. The accident occurred at around 7:40 p.m. behind the Nissan company along Khlong Chorakhe Yai. Rescue workers from Bang Sao Thong and Mueang Mai Bang Phli rushed to the scene to assist the victims.



Two women were found injured. One suffered abrasions and a badly injured right leg but remained conscious and was able to communicate with rescuers. She was taken to Bang Sao Thong Hospital and was later reported safe. The second woman was unconscious and had a severely injured right leg. Rescuers found no signs of vital life and immediately began CPR while an advanced emergency medical team from Bang Sao Thong Hospital was called to the scene. She was later transferred to Central Park Hospital. The woman was subsequently reported to have died in hospital from her injuries. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the collision.
