PATTAYA, Thailand – A Chinese tourist received assistance from Pattaya Tourist Police after a language barrier left her unable to communicate with a taxi driver and reach her accommodation. The incident occurred on August 5, when the Chinese woman hired a taxi from Walking Street to travel to a location marked near Sukhumvit Road. However, after arriving at the destination, she refused to leave the vehicle and the driver was unable to communicate with her.

Concerned about the situation, the taxi driver decided to bring her to the Pattaya Tourist Police Station to seek help. Tourist police officers and Chinese-speaking interpreters quickly assisted by communicating with the woman and contacting her Chinese friends. The friends later arrived and safely took her back to her accommodation.



The tourist and her friends expressed their appreciation for the taxi driver’s service-minded decision and the warm assistance provided by Pattaya Tourist Police.
