The confrontation, filmed and shared on Facebook, quickly went viral. The rider later claimed the knife was a work tool and that he had been unfairly targeted by the guard.
While the clash shocked viewers, critics say it highlights deeper issues. Many school zones in Thailand lack proper markings, barriers, or speed controls. Enforcement is inconsistent, especially in upcountry districts dominated by fast two-wheeler traffic.
