BANGKOK, Thailand – Huamark Police patrol officers checked on a man found sleeping on a motorcycle with its engine running near the entrance to Rama 9 Soi 55 on August 10.

Officers found that the man was homeless and had travelled from Mo Chit while searching for somewhere to stay. He was reportedly struggling to make ends meet and find a safe place to rest.

Police checked and searched the man but found no illegal items. Rather than taking further action, officers spoke with him and offered advice, encouraging him to find a more suitable and safer place to rest for his own safety and that of other road users.

The interaction ended peacefully, with officers continuing their patrol after ensuring the man was safe. The incident highlights the role of police in looking after people in vulnerable situations, not only responding to crime but also providing assistance and guidance to those in need.

Police urge the man to find a safe place to rest rather than sleeping on a running motorcycle, helping protect both him and passing road users.
