Authorities in Pattaya assisted a Japanese tourist found in an intoxicated and disoriented condition in Soi 16.

PATTAYA, Thailand – A Japanese tourist was safely assisted and returned to her accommodation after being found in an intoxicated condition in South Pattaya, authorities said. On June 18, walking patrol officers on Pattaya Beach Road received a report from the City of Pattaya Special Affairs Unit that a female foreign tourist was found in a heavily intoxicated state in the Soi 16 area near the Walking Street and was unable to provide any personal information. Tourist Police, Pattaya City officials, and rescue volunteers were deployed to the scene to assist the woman.

Due to her condition, she was initially unable to communicate or provide details about her accommodation. Officers then worked to verify her identity and locate her hotel information through available records. After confirming her lodging, authorities coordinated safe transportation and returned her to her accommodation without incident. Officials said the assistance was carried out to ensure the tourist’s safety and prevent any risk while she was in a vulnerable condition. They added that such coordinated responses are part of ongoing efforts between local authorities and tourism police to maintain safety and provide assistance to visitors in Pattaya’s entertainment and tourist areas.

Officers verified her accommodation after she was unable to provide any personal information.

She was safely returned to her hotel following the assistance.
