
PATTAYA, Thailand – A 26-year-old Japanese tourist was injured after being attacked by a group of five to six men, one of whom reportedly struck him with a motorcycle, early on March 21 in South Pattaya.
Rescue teams from Sawang Boriboon responded around 4:30 AM following an emergency call. The victim, identified as Kanasashi, was found with bruises and other injuries near a hotel on Pattaya South Road, Soi 2. He received first aid at the scene before being rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to eyewitnesses, the victim was chased by the group, believed to be riders for a delivery app, from the entrance of Soi Marine. He fell near the hotel while fleeing and ran to seek help from nearby residents. CCTV footage captured the attack, showing the victim being pursued, struck by a motorcycle, and then physically assaulted before reaching safety.
Police have documented the scene and are collecting evidence, including CCTV footage, to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. Authorities said Kanasashi will be asked to provide a statement once he has recovered, as part of the ongoing investigation.
