PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya Tourist Police assist French man who wandered into his former condo

Pattaya Tourist Police assisted a French tourist who appeared to be suffering from an illness and mistakenly tried to enter a condominium unit where he had previously lived.

On October 17, officers received a report through the Tourist Police hotline 1155 from the management of a Pattaya condominium after the man attempted to enter his former room. After assessing the situation, officers suspected the tourist might have Alzheimer’s disease, which could have caused memory loss and confusion about his former residence.

The officers approached him calmly, reassured him and helped him leave the area safely. They then coordinated with relevant agencies to arrange further assistance, including returning him to his accommodation or taking him to hospital for medical care. The Tourist Police hotline, 1155, operates 24 hours a day and is available to tourists needing assistance in Thailand.

Officers helped reunite the French tourist with his relative after responding to a call from condominium management through the 1155 hotline.
