BANGKOK, Thailand – A Malaysian tourist received a helping hand from Thailand’s Tourist Police after officers successfully tracked down and recovered a mobile phone left behind in a GrabCar at Don Mueang Airport. The incident happened at around 7 p.m. on July 28 when the traveller approached Tourist Police officers at the airport after realizing the phone had been left inside the vehicle after arriving by GrabCar.
The tourist told officers that after getting out of the car, they discovered the phone was missing and requested assistance in contacting the driver to recover the device. Tourist Police officers collected details about the vehicle and the trip before coordinating with the GrabCar driver to locate the missing phone. The driver confirmed that the phone had been found inside the vehicle and informed officers that he was already on his way back to Don Mueang Airport to return it to the tourist.
The phone was later handed back safely to its owner, who expressed appreciation for the quick assistance and coordination provided by the Tourist Police. The Tourist Police reminded visitors that travellers needing assistance can contact the Tourist Police hotline 1155 or use the Tourist Police application for support during their stay in Thailand.
