PATTAYA, Thailand – Police are investigating the reported theft of a valuable gold chain belonging to a Dutch tourist following an encounter with a group of individuals on Pattaya Beach in the early hours of Thursday morning. At approximately 3:30 a.m. on June 12, Mr. Ferdy accompanied by a Thai female friend, filed a complaint with Pattaya City Police after discovering that his gold necklace had gone missing. According to information provided to police, the tourist had left his hotel in the Pattaya Soi 9 area sometime between 12:45 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. and walked along Pattaya Beach toward Central Pattaya.

During his walk, he was reportedly approached by a group of two to three individuals who attempted to strike up a conversation and allegedly offered sexual services. The tourist declined and believed the brief encounter had ended without incident as the group walked away. It was only later, while checking his belongings, that he realized his gold chain was missing. The necklace is estimated to be worth around €4,000, or approximately 140,000 baht. Investigators have begun reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area and are gathering evidence to identify those involved. Police are working to determine whether the necklace was removed during the encounter and to track down any suspects linked to the case.
