Nongprue firefighters rescued a dog trapped in a drainage pipe in East Pattaya.
The pooch had gotten into road construction on Pornprapanimit Road and fallen into an open sewer and could not get out.
Neighbors called the fire department after hearing the dog back and cry for about five hours.
The firefighter consoles the still scared dog after lifting him out of the open drain.

The dog is set free in the hope that neither man nor beast will be the victim of city workers’ negligence again.
