Pol. Col. Sitichai Lokanpai was welcomed by Pol. Col. Katathorn Khamtieng to the Jomtien Beach office Aug. 2.

Sitichai wanted information on crimes, fugitives, and other pending investigations. He also laid out new policies to strengthen the standards of the immigration staff.

Strong emphasis was placed on not taking bribes or partaking in any corruption.

Sitichai reminded the officers to focus on human-trafficking issues and carefully review documents of foreign visitors to ensure they are genuine and that the visitors don’t have any criminal record.

On his inspection, the deputy commander came away somewhat impressed, but also saw some faults that will be discussed and fixed in the future.
