Elderly Club celebrates Mother’s Day

Pattaya Elderly Club celebrated Mother’s Day a week early with singing, praying and meditation.

About 300 club members piled into a city hall meeting room Aug. 5 for the event led by Pattaya health and medical officials.

The day’s activities contained praying, meditation, singing together, and shows performed by members of the Elderly Club. Moreover, a mother’s contest was held.

Anan Angkanawisai, chairman of the Pattaya governing board, blessed the group and led the singing of “Ka Nam Nom” to honor and show loyalty to HM the Queen.

The Elderly Club will be among the participants in the Aug. 12 parade organized by the city for Mother’s Day.

It will begin in front of Royal Garden Plaza and proceed on to Bali Hai Pier when a ceremony will be held at 8 p.m.
