Rescued husband sits in shock and grief after being saved off Koh Larn as authorities continue searching for his missing wife and investigate the jet ski accident.

PATTAYA, Thailand – A Chinese couple’s jet ski outing from Ta Waen Beach, Koh Larn, ended in tragedy on September 9. The 33-year-old husband was rescued in the early hours by local fishermen after being stranded at sea in a weakened state. However, his 28-year-old wife was found dead later, floating in the channel between Ko Nok and Ko Si Chang, still wearing a life jacket.

Authorities discovered the couple’s jet ski with cracks on the hull. While the investigation is ongoing, the husband reported encountering strong winds that caused him to fall overboard, leading to the fatal accident.

Video surveillance at Ta Waen pier shows three jet skis departing toward Ko Si Chang during rainy conditions, but only two returned. The Pattaya Marine Disaster Prevention unit, local rescue teams, and tourist police coordinated an extensive search operation across the likely route of the jet skis.

Officials urge anyone spotting the jet ski or relevant clues at sea to contact Pattaya Marine Disaster Prevention at 038-488134.

The authorities continue to investigate the exact circumstances surrounding the accident. Condolences have been extended to the family of the deceased.
