PATTAYA, Thailand – Residents and tourists in Pattaya received some welcome relief from the heat around midday on April 22 as brief rain showers passed through parts of the city, including Jomtien.
Rain was reported around noon along Jomtien Second Road and other nearby areas, helping cool temperatures without causing flooding or major traffic disruption.
The showers were short-lived, however, with skies beginning to clear soon afterward and hot, humid weather quickly returning across Pattaya. Local weather data showed rainfall of just less than 4 mm in Pattaya by early afternoon.
Forecasters say Pattaya could continue to see brief showers over the coming days as unstable hot-season weather develops across eastern Thailand.
