S. Pattaya locals complain about illegal billboards
Residents near Sukhumvit Soi 46/1 complained to Pattaya City Hall about illegal advertising signs becoming a blight on their neighborhood.
Prasert Lemlae, president of the Pattaya Tai Community, contacted the press Jan. 1 about the billboards near the entrance to the soi and blocking the footpath.
The signs promote hotels, condos, restaurants and retail products on public property.
Prasert said the signs were erected during the past few months and are now a complete mess. Most of them are eating up a lot of space around sidewalks, causing pedestrians to walk in the street to avoid them.
Many also are blocking street signs, so they are posing a hazard to motorists and navigation, he said.
