Expensive street lights don’t do much good if they’re obscured by leaves, so Pattaya workers set out again to trim trees along the beach.
Crews were out Jan. 2 in front of the Bayview Hotel on Beach Road cutting back the coconut trees to brighten the footpath at night and removing dead leaves and fruit so they wouldn’t fall on tourists’ heads.
It took about five hours for workers to use their extended saw along the beach from near Walking Street to the hotel.
The pruned leaves went to good use. Workers ground them up and used them as fertilizer for other plants.
