BANGKOK, Thailand – A 25-year-old primary school teacher was found dead inside her car in Bangkok, with police investigating the circumstances surrounding her death after she reportedly had a dispute with her boyfriend over her pregnancy. Police found the woman in the driver’s seat of a red sedan outside a convenience store in Soi Ramkhamhaeng 60 on Aug. 30. A smoking device was found inside the vehicle, while a letter addressed to her parents was also discovered. According to police, the letter expressed gratitude to her parents for raising her and supporting her education despite financial difficulties. It also referred to her relationship with her boyfriend of two years and her pregnancy.
Police said the woman had previously reported an alleged assault by her boyfriend, an Acting Sub Lieutenant, at a rented room to Huamark Police Station on Aug. 27, three days before she was found dead. Investigators initially believed emotional distress related to the relationship and pregnancy may have contributed to the incident. Her body was sent to the Police General Hospital for a post-mortem examination, while relatives were contacted to arrange funeral rites. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of her death and the events surrounding her relationship with the boyfriend.
