Baht bus driver returns tourist’s wallet

A forgetful Japanese man got a big chunk of his holiday back thanks to an honest Pattaya baht bus driver.

Eneak Pum-in, driver of taxi No. 507, brought a wallet he found in his pickup to Pattaya police Jan. 6. Inside was 4,500 baht, 73,000 yen (22,500 baht) and other valuables.

Police tracked down owner Heizo Hishida, 69, who was very happy to get his stash of cash back.

Police praised the driver for boosting the image of Pattaya’s tourism industry.
