BANGKOK, Thailand – Don Mueang Tourist Police helped a Colombian visitor recover a lost wallet left inside a Bolt vehicle after tracking down the driver and coordinating its safe return. At around 10:20 a.m. on July 23, the tourist contacted Don Mueang Tourist Police for assistance after realizing that he had forgotten his wallet in a public transport vehicle booked through the Bolt application. The tourist explained that he had used the Bolt service on July 16 at around 4:30 a.m., traveling from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Don Mueang Airport before continuing his journey to Phuket. He later discovered that his wallet had been left inside the vehicle but only sought assistance from police one week later.
Officers collected details of the trip from the Bolt application and used the vehicle registration information shown in the booking records to identify and contact the driver. The driver confirmed that he had found and kept the tourist’s wallet. The wallet contained credit cards, but no cash was found inside. Tourist police then coordinated with the driver to bring the wallet back to Don Mueang Airport, where it was returned safely to the tourist. The visitor agreed to compensate the driver for his time and expressed his appreciation to officers for their assistance.
