5-year-old’s hand crushed in cheese-grating accident

A five-year-old boy suffered a crushed hand when it got stuck in a cheese grinder at a central Pattaya restaurant.

The boy, identified only as “Tao,” had been allowed by his aunt, Bupha Phalahon, 45, the owner of the Globetrotter restaurant on Beach Road, to grind a block of cheese. The boy pushed the block of cheese too far into the machine, getting his hand stuck. Four of his five fingers were mangled.
