Nearly 50 Sattahip district families have been found to be illegally living on land owned by the Royal Thai Navy.

District Chief Phawat Lertmukda led a contingent of legal, military and community officials on an inspection of the Moo 1, 2 and 6 villages in Plutaluang Nov. 10.

Sattahip bailiff Pikhul Sopha said the inspection determined that 21 families in Moo 1 village, 11 families in Moo 2 and 16 families in Moo 6 were encroaching on royal property used by the navy.

Officials collected data from each of the encroaching families and provided information on how they could apply for private use of royal property.
