Three young men were arrested for the confessed torturing and killing of a 14 year-old-boy in Huay Yai subdistrict.

Police in Huay Yai subdistrict east of Pattaya arrested three men and are hunting a fourth for the deadly beating of a 14-year-old they accused of stealing a gold necklace.

Patcharapol Klingklai, 21, Nattapong Chumyen, 26, and Kritsada Ngantuam, 22, were taken into custody Sept. 18 after the battered body of Kaisiri Wongwat was found in the garage of his aunt’s house on Soi Hua Nong. His body was covered with bruises and his wrists showed burns from a nylon rope police took from the victims. A 23-year-old identified only as “Yuth” remains at large.

Officers also seized a modified motorbike with a blood-stained sidecar and found crystal methamphetamines under the bike’s seat.
Police said the boy was attacked three times since Sept. 16, with the first assault perpetrated by Patcharapol’s father, Poonhirran, who was not arrested. Police did not explain why.

The father allegedly kicked Kaisiri four times with combat boots, accusing him of stealing a one baht-weight gold chain and 3,000 baht cash from an unidentified man only known as “Black”. The kicking was witnessed by two of the boy’s friends.

Police and forensic personnel inspect the body of 14-year-old Kaisiri who was tortured to death by 3 men.

The next morning, Patcharapol followed his father’s example and, with the other three suspects, hunted down Kaisiri and dragged him 100 meters from his house and beat him up.

Kaisiri was again taken for more torture, until the boy confessed to stealing the gold and cash. They allegedly tied him up and threw him in the sidecar, driving to where Kaisiri supposedly hid the gold. But there was no gold there.

Finally, around 4 a.m., the suspects allegedly dumped Kaisiri on the road 20 meters from his aunt’s house. Police said he tried to get in the house, but his aunt was sleeping. So he crawled into the garage where he died.

Police said the three men confessed to the assaults, but said their intent was not to kill the boy, only to recover the gold and money.
They were charged with assault resulting in death.
