Thai Union Group CEO Thiraphong Chansiri says stronger profitability, premium-brand growth and more selective investment are supporting the company’s confidence in meeting its 2026 targets.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Thai Union Group reported third-quarter 2026 sales of 35.679 billion baht, up 3.4% year on year, marking its third consecutive quarter of sales growth. Operating profit increased 16.2% to 2.087 billion baht, while gross profit margin reached 20.4%, remaining above 20% for a second consecutive quarter. Net profit rose 3.2% to 1.346 billion baht.

Chief Executive Officer Thiraphong Chansiri said the results reflected continued progress in strengthening the company’s core businesses and improving profitability under its Strategy 2030, despite higher energy, transport and raw material costs, as well as inflationary pressure on consumers.

He attributed the improvement to disciplined execution of the strategy, including investment in Thai Union brands, a greater focus on premium products, higher production efficiency and closer cooperation across the group’s businesses.

Sales of Thai Union’s branded processed seafood products grew 6.9% year on year, supported by marketing investment, new product formats, modernised packaging and brand repositioning. The company expanded its premium King Oscar portfolio in the United States and developed Parmentier as a premium brand, alongside brand updates in key markets.

Thai Union also drew on its international capabilities to develop new products, including Pulled Tuna, introduced under five of its brands in Europe. The company said these initiatives were supporting growth in premium products and improving margins in its core businesses.

Further expansion came through investments in higher-growth sectors. Its subsidiary i-Tail Corporation announced the acquisition of US premium pet treat manufacturer Phelps Pet Products for US$160 million, approximately 5.3 billion baht. The deal is intended to expand the group’s presence in the premium pet food market.

Meanwhile, Thai Union Feedmill established Thai Union Feedmill Ecuador S.A.S. to invest in an aquafeed production facility in Ecuador, extending the group’s operations in the Americas and supporting its aquaculture business. For the first nine months of 2026, Thai Union recorded sales growth of 4% year on year. Gross profit margin reached a record 20% for the nine-month period, while earnings per share increased 7.8% to 0.97 baht.

The company is also refining its capital allocation approach, directing investment more selectively towards businesses with the potential to deliver stronger returns. This includes more effective working capital management and financing strategies, with sustainability remaining central to its long-term financial direction. Its initiatives include Blue Finance, which supports activities related to marine conservation.

Thiraphong said the strong nine-month performance gave the company confidence that it could meet its 2026 targets. He added that investment would remain focused on building stronger brands, expanding premium product portfolios and pursuing business opportunities capable of creating long-term value. The company said Strategy 2030 would continue to guide its efforts to improve competitiveness, profitability and sustainable growth.
