Utapao, Thailand – The Rotary Club of Utapao International (RCUI) is strengthening its role as a community-focused service organisation in the Eastern Economic Corridor, combining fellowship, professional connections and humanitarian work with a growing commitment to supporting local institutions.

Most recently, club representatives joined the anniversary celebrations of Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital in Sattahip on August 18, 2026, presenting a flower arrangement to Captain Phisak Konmek, Deputy Director of the Support Division at Somdech Phra Nangchao Sirikit Hospital. on behalf of the club to mark the hospital’s establishment anniversary.

Representing the Rotary Club of Utapao International were Rotarian Krittibhumi Normee and Rotarian Varisa Varichsakul. Their visit was intended not only to convey congratulations but also to express appreciation for the doctors, nurses, medical personnel and staff who serve the local community.

The club extended its best wishes for the hospital to continue developing as a high-quality and compassionate medical institution and as a dependable source of support for people and communities in the region.

Service close to home

The club’s participation in the Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital anniversary reflects the type of community relationship that RCUI aims to build: practical, respectful and long-term.

By recognising the contribution of medical professionals and maintaining contact with important institutions in Sattahip and the wider Eastern Seaboard, the club is establishing itself not simply as a newly chartered Rotary club, but as a partner in the community.

With U-Tapao and the Eastern Economic Corridor continuing to develop, RCUI has positioned itself at an important crossroads between aviation, business, tourism and community development. Its challenge now is to translate that unique position into sustained projects that improve people’s lives while bringing together Rotarians, professionals and community leaders.

For a club still in its first year, its growing programme suggests that the Rotary Club of Utapao International is already preparing for a long-term role in the region – with service at the heart of its mission.
