For the past year, ever since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, a group of kind-hearted restaurant owners in Pattaya, Bangkok, Rayong and Sattahip have combined their resources to regularly cook and distribute food to those who have lost their jobs and have no money to feed their families.

The group, led by Duangden Khwan of the Chokechai Restaurant on Soi Kophai, conducted a food distribution mission on May 23 when the combined forces of cooks and staff prepared 1500 boxes of food worth 50,000 baht for distribution to the needy and hungry parents and children in Pattaya and the surroundings.

Volunteers from all walks of life, including the Pattaya police, drove around the community delivering the food to children at the Baan Euaree Children’s Home of the Human Help Network Foundation, Phra Siri Hut Foundation, Chumsai Community, Kophai Community, and the Arunothai Community. They also distributed food boxes to homeless and needy people around town.
