The extended holiday period, July 28-30, marking His Majesty the King’s Birthday, Asalha Bucha Day and Buddhist Lent Day encouraged travelers from across Thailand and overseas to enjoy a break in Pattaya.
On July 28, Bali Hai Pier was packed with visitors throughout the day as tourists queued for boats to Koh Larn. Families, groups of friends and international travelers arrived to enjoy the island’s beaches and attractions, creating a lively holiday atmosphere. Pattaya Beach also saw a surge of visitors, with tourists gathering along the beachfront to relax, enjoy water activities and take in the seaside scenery. Local businesses, restaurants and tourism operators benefited from the increased activity.
With more tourists traveling by sea, authorities and operators emphasized safety precautions, including checking weather conditions, following passenger limits, maintaining safety equipment and listening to instructions from marine officials. Tourists were encouraged to wear life jackets when required and follow safety guidance when traveling to island destinations.
The Meteorological Department has warned that monsoon conditions could bring changing weather, strong winds and rough seas in some areas, making extra caution important for boat operators and visitors. The holiday surge highlights Pattaya’s continued appeal as a coastal destination, with Koh Larn and Pattaya Beach remaining among the city’s top attractions for both domestic and international travelers.
