BANGKOK, Thailand – Renewable energy company BCPG reported strong earnings growth in the first half of 2026, with normalised net profit rising 146.3% year-on-year to 810.6 million baht, driven by new power projects and income from sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) operations. BCPG President and CEO Rawee Boonsinsukh said second-quarter normalized net profit reached 180.8 million baht, up 37.9% from the same period last year, supported by revenue contributions from newly operational projects and more efficient financial cost management. Second-quarter revenue totalled 806.7 million baht, increasing 3.4% year-on-year, mainly due to improved performance from hydropower plants in Laos, higher electricity sales from solar power projects in Thailand, and additional solar rooftop projects with a combined capacity of 19.6 megawatts.
The company also benefited from higher profit contributions from a natural gas power plant in the United States due to increased capacity payments, along with lower financial costs. For the first six months of 2026, BCPG recorded total revenue of 1.9 billion baht, up 26.1% year-on-year. Growth was supported by revenue recognition from its district cooling system project, stronger performance from Laos hydropower plants and Thai solar farms, expanded solar rooftop capacity, and growth in its oil storage and port businesses.
The company also recognized contributions from the Monsoon wind power project in Laos and the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production facility operated by the Bangchak Group, which began commercial operations. Rawee said BCPG will focus on improving efficiency across existing projects while pursuing new investments aligned with its long-term strategy to deliver sustainable returns for shareholders.
