Natural Resources and Environment Minister Surasak Kanchanara called on Naklua Market vendors to drop plastic and foam for biodegradable containers to preserve the environment.

The minister’s visit to Pattaya coincided with International Coastal Cleanup Day to promote solutions to plastic pollution at the Lan Po Public Park and nearby market.

He told them to drop foam food containers and plastic bags and adopt sacks and boxes made of biodegradable materials.

The minister then moved on to Pattaya School No. 3, urging youths to help recycle and keep their neighborhoods clean.
