BANGKOK, 2 July 2014 -The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) governor Somchai Roadrungwasinkul has overseen the Energy Mind Award 2013 ceremony. The Energy Mind Award was given to schools which met a standard ranging from 1-5 stars. There were 48 schools participating through the year.

Moreover, MEA also awarded an Energy Master Award 2013 and a Young Energy Master Award 2013 to teachers and students who were outstanding in energy use and environmental preservation.

The Energy Mind Award has been organized for 7 years in order to recognize outstanding schools that conserve the use of energy. The most obvious benefit is that power consumption in every participating school is much reduced. This year, the campaign focused on primary schools to high schools in Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan provinces.
