PATTAYA, Thailand – Afternoon rain has been a regular feature of Pattaya’s weather throughout October, but it has not kept foreign tourists away from the beach. Mornings often bring brighter skies, while breaks in the rain later in the day give visitors another opportunity to enjoy Pattaya Beach. Tourists can be seen heading for the sand and sea to make the most of the sunshine, before seeking shelter or returning to their hotels when showers arrive.

The pattern has continued throughout the month, with beach visitors taking advantage of every spell of favorable weather rather than allowing passing rain to spoil their holiday. The sunny breaks have also brought welcome business to beachfront restaurants, food vendors, beach chair operators and tour companies, which depend on visitors being out and about.

A longer spell of dry weather would give these businesses more reliable trading conditions and allow tour operators to plan activities with greater confidence. There are hopes that November will bring cooler breezes and drier conditions, giving tourists more predictable beach days and businesses across Pattaya a better start to the high season.
