CHONBURI, Thailand – Mars has invested more than 7 billion baht to establish its first Pringles manufacturing facility in Thailand, creating a 73,800-square-metre production site in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) in Nong Yai district, Chonburi.
The factory, which began construction in October 2023 and started operations in late 2025, currently employs more than 170 people directly and exports Pringles products to markets including India, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Gabriel Fernandez, President of Mars Snacking for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (AMEA), said the Chonburi facility has been developed as a regional hub supporting the continued growth of the Pringles brand.
Nearly 50 percent of the factory’s total spending is currently directed to local suppliers, supporting businesses within Thailand’s supply chain. The investment reflects Mars’ long-term commitment to Thailand as a strategic manufacturing and export base, supported by the country’s infrastructure, skilled workforce and connectivity with markets across the region.
Thailand is expected to play an increasingly important role in the expansion of Pringles across the AMEA region, with the Chonburi factory supplying consumers both within Thailand and overseas.
Mars plans to open a third production line at the facility in late 2027, further expanding its capacity and reinforcing the factory’s long-term role as a manufacturing hub serving markets in Thailand and beyond. The investment adds another major food manufacturing operation to Chonburi’s growing industrial base within the EEC, strengthening the province’s role in regional production and exports.
