KHON KAEN, Thailand – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat has opened the “ED Quality Share and Learn Fair 2026: Innovation for Sustainability” at the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University (KKU), on September 12, 2026.
The event brought together over 400 university executives, educators, staff, students, and education partners. Notable attendees included KKU President Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul and Faculty of Education Dean Assoc. Prof. Issara Kanjak. The Deputy Prime Minister stated that Thai education should shift from content delivery to competency development, enabling lifelong learning, critical thinking, and the creation of measurable, scalable innovations. He emphasized that educational innovation must generate positive impact and support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The fair included exhibitions, knowledge-sharing activities, and a nationwide competition featuring 134 innovations in five categories. Fifteen awards were presented for Best Innovation, Excellent Innovation, and Good Innovation. The workshops addressed innovation development, scaling, and sustainability, helping to expand practical initiatives for broader community and national benefit.
The event also showcased projects by KKU’s Faculty of Education and Demonstration School to enhance the learning ecosystem and prepare educators for future challenges. (NNT)
